Ankeny Police Arrest Four In Sexual Assault Case; Fifth Man Sought

ANKENY, IA -- Four men have been arrested in connection with a sexual assault case in Ankeny, and police say a fifth man faces charges stemming from the same incident. The Ankeny Police Department said in a news release Monday that the arrests followed an investigation into a case that began when they were called to 1210 S.E. 28th St. shortly before 3 a.m. Oct. 1 by a woman who reported being assaulted.

The woman, who was later treated at an area hospital for injuries she sustained during the assault, told police she knew her attackers.

A week-long investigation led police to four of the five men thought to be involved. Those suspects were arrested and face a charge of second-degree sexual assault. They are:

• Albert Valle, 19, of Ankeny, arrested Oct. 2.
• Jessie Teah, 20, of Des Moines, arrested Oct. 6.
• Azira Torbor, 17, of Altoona, whose arrest date was unavailable.
• Jeffery O'Hara, 18, of Ankeny, arrested Oct. 9.

Valle, Torbor and O'Hara have been released from the Polk County Jail on bond. Teah also was charged with first-degree theft and is being held without bond.
