The appearance of Batman was the centerpiece of the annual Mother-Son Dance held on the evening of February 16 at Faith Lutheran Church in Clive.
The event, which raises funds for scholarships for youth to attend summer camp and for the church's Children and Family Ministry, was also marked by an appearance from the Iowa League of Heroes, a group of sanctioned Marvel Comic actors who donate time and resource for causes which reach beyond financial borders.
Over 200 people showed up at the Mother-Son dance, noted Andrea Stone and Erika Weber, with the Children and Family Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church.
