Casey Now Requires ID for Energy Shots, Pill Purchases

Casey's General Store, headquartered in Ankeny, now requires anyone under the age of 18 to have an ID when buying energy shots or pills, the Convenience Store News reports. 

According to the Convenience Store News, Brian Johnson, Casey's vice president of finance said he would hate to see a minor buying multiple shots of energy or energy pills. 

"It's just one of those things, it doesn't feel right to sell to kids, so we made the decision not to do it," Johnson said. 

Casey's however only asks for an ID on certain energy drinks being sold.
