Friday Football: Ankeny Hawks Face Little Cyclones in Homecoming

The Ankeny Hawks are 1-5 after last night's homecoming loss to the Ames High Little Cyclones.

The Ankeny Hawks have the chance to make the Ames High Little Cyclones very unhappy when they meet for the Hawks Homecoming varsity football game 7:30 p.m. here in Ankeny.

The Little Cyclones are heading toward the team's sixth straight win of the season. The Little Cyclones are 5-0 after crushing the Fort Dodge Dodgers in its homecoming game last week, 62-21.

The Ankeny Hawks are 1-4 after a loss to the Johnston Dragons last week. But the Little Cyclones already beat the other Ankeny team, the Jaguars 34-30 on Sept. 13. And the Jaguars were victorious in a game against the Ankeny Hawks earlier this season 17-7.

The Hawks and Little Cyclones will take the field 7:30 p.m. Friday at the stadium behind Northview Middle School, 1302 N Ankeny Blvd.
