Gunfire At Ankeny Restaurant, Police Seek Shooter

A bullet was fired into Old Chicago restaurant on Wednesday; no injuries were reported.

ANKENY, IA — Police are looking for a shooter who fired a gun through the kitchen entrance door at the Old Chicago restaurant in Ankeny on Wednesday and they have a photo of a vehicle in the area at that time. No one was injured in the shooting.

Ankeny police received a call at 5:21 p.m. that a shooting had occurred at the restaurant, 2732 S.E. Delaware Ave. They learned a single bullet entered through the south side of the business.

Detectives collected video surveillance from neighboring businesses. The Ankeny Police Department is no asking for help from the public in identifying the suspect and potential witnesses. Images from the area shows a blue four-door sedan from the early 2000's parked next to the kitchen entrance at the time of the shooting. It is missing the passenger side hubcaps and may have tinted rear windows.
