Handcuffed Teen Helps Save Officer's Life
VIDEO: As he was getting booked in a Florida jail, 17-year-old comes to the rescue.

Police brought Jamal Rutlege, 17, to jail for a probation violation last September. Little did the booking officer know, Rutlege would help save his life.
According to a Fort Lauderdale article and video, Officer Frankin Foulks was sitting at a computer, inputting the teen’s information, when he collapsed and fell out of his chair onto the floor.
Rutlege, sitting across the room in handcuffs, stood and came close enough to confirm that Foulks was losing consciousness and needed help. Rutlege yelled for help until others came running.

As the booking facility’s cameras captured, two more officers hurried to the scene. Sgt. Todd Bunin cut off Foulk’s shirt, and Officer Robert Norvis started administering CPR.
Officer Ramond Ketchmark was close behind with an automated external defibrillator (AED). Firefighters were called in to take over, and Foulks was rushed to the hospital where he would recover.

Doctors said had it not been for the teen’s yelling and the quick work of these police officers, Foulks could have died. See the heroic footage here.
From foes to friends, Rutlege took a photo with the officers and they will be honored by the city in January. Foulks reported he is feeling great and hopes to return to full duty later this month.
