Hawks Coach Named to Wrestling Hall of Fame
Retired Ankeny Coach Dave Ewing, named Coach of the Year inducted into Wrestling Hall of Fame.

An Iowa Wrestling Coach of the Year and Ankeny High School wrestling coach will be inducted into the Iowa Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame later this month, according to a release from the Ankeny Community School District.
Coach Dave Ewing retired in 2013 after serving as the Hawks head wrestling coach for 26 years. During his time, he was named Conference Coach of the Year four times, District Coach of the Year five times and named 3A Coach of the Year last season. More than a dozen of Ewing's wrestlers went on to coach themselves.
Ewing will receive the induction honor Oct. 26 at the Holiday Inn Airport Hotel at the Iowa Coaches and Officials Association Convention.
