Now they all need to hurry up and wait until the defending Des Moines Register player of the year graduates.

The 6-foot-1 hitter, a sophomore at Ankeny (Iowa) High School, picked the Bluejays over Iowa and Northern Iowa. Schools such as Kansas State, Iowa State, Louisville and Missouri also were interested.
