Indies First 2017

Indies First, held on Small Business Saturday, brings together authors, readers, and publishers in support of independent bookstores. Authors and local celebrities volunteer at events across the country, and
publishers offer special terms on books and exclusives. Indies First and Small Business Saturday are being held this year on Nov. 25, a day which is dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help
communities thrive.

Plot Twist Bookstore will celebrate Indies First with refreshments, prize drawings and other fun activities.

Plot Twist is an independent bookstore that opened in Ankeny in 2016. This is a place where book lovers can browse, talk and meet. The bookstore is a full-service store with a curated inventory of books for
readers of all ages, a children’s section with an ever-changing selection of new picture and chapter books. Visitors will also discover quality cards, gifts, and educational games and toys.
