Lose The Clothes: Writer And Minimalist Supporter Coming To Ankeny To Promote 'Tiny Wardrobe' Concept
A writer and proponent of the minimalist movement will share her wardrobe-thinning challenge, Project 333, Oct. 11 in Ankeny.

ANKENY, IA. -- If you’ve ever had to dig through a closet and pull out multiple garments in an effort to find something suitable to wear to an event, Courtney Carver can tell you how to end that frustration. A leader in the minimalist movement, Carver touts a “capsule wardrobe” as the way to live and she’ll be in Ankeny next week to share what that means.
Carver is traveling nationally on a Tiny Wardrobe Tour as part of a minimalist fashion challenge she started called Project 333. She claims that if you can strip down your wardrobe to 33 items for three months, you’ll “bring more simplicity, freedom and love into your life,” according to a news release.
Carver will explain how she did just that as she talks talk about her "enough is enough" moment and what led her to give away most of her stuff, downsize to a small apartment, and leave a 20-year career in sales and marketing. She started a blog, Be More With Less, and her writing led to books on the topic of decluttering your life. Her latest book, "Soulful Simplicity," will be out in December.
