- SW Cherry Street and SW Ordnance Road –Why? The City has reviewed the intersections multiple times over the years in response to citizen concerns about congestion, safety and delays. Several modifications have been implemented, including re-routing school buses and the school zone speed limit, but the issues have not abated. The school zone limit will continue to be in effect.
- SW 18th Street & SW Cascade Falls Drive – Why? As residential development continues in this area, traffic patterns are changing and the number of pedestrians, especially young pedestrians, crossing Cascade Falls Drive to and from the elementary school and aquatic center is increasing.
The new stop signs will be in effect starting Tuesday, Oct. 15, weather pending.
