New Hotel Chain Opens Second Iowa Location In Ankeny
The Ankeny My Place Hotel follows an Altoona location that opened in October; owners plan to build 40 hotels total in a 10-year period.

ANKENY, IA — My Place Hotels of America opened its second metro-area location on Thursday with a 46-room hotel in Ankeny. The company's first Iowa location, in Altoona, opened in October and a Davenport hotel currently is under construction.
The sites are the first of 40 planned in 10 years for a franchise owned by Matt Eller of Ames through partnerships with his businesses Eller Enterprises Inc. and Pro Commercial. Nationwide, the Ankeny hotel is the 37th in the My Place Hotel chain.
My Place Hotels offer nightly, weekly and monthly accommodations. Extended-stay guestrooms include a My Kitchen with a two-burner cooktop, a microwave and a full refrigerator. There is also a 24-hour My Store stocked with an array of supplies. Guests also are able to enjoy a new breakfast-in-bed option.
