Pezzetti Could Win USA Today Coaching Prize
Fans can vote for their favorite state coaches through Oct. 8.
Former Ankeny High School and current Ankeny Centennial High School football coach Jerry Pezzetti is in the running to be named USA Today's Best High School Football Coach in the country.
Staff have selected eight football coaches in the state and fans are being asked to vote for the best.
Anyone can vote for Coach Pezzetti or any other coach in the contest through Oct. 8. After that date the best coaches from each state will move on to a regional round.

The top five winners in the nation will win prizes ranging from $100 to $2,000 for their respective activities departments.
