Garbage and recycling will not be affected by the holiday; COVID-19 test site closed on Mon. July 5

JEFFERSON, LA - Jefferson Parish Government buildings will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021 in observance of Independence Day. The Harold McDonald Sr. Park COVID-19 walk-up testing site will also be closed on Monday, July 5, 2021. This site will resume operations on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to individuals five years and older who want to know their COVID-19 status.

Curbside garbage and recycling will run as scheduled on Monday, July 5, 2021. All four trash drop-off sites will be closed on Sunday, July 4, 2021. Regular operating hours for the trash drop-off sites are Tuesday – Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., daylight savings time (all sites are closed every Monday). Instructions for use of the drop off sites can be found on the Jefferson Parish web page at the following link: Drop-Off Site Instructions (jeffparish.net).
