PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD —One Prince George’s County resident became $40,000 richer on Monday as Maryland Lottery’s $2 million VaxCash Promotion reached the halfway point of its 40-day run.
Monday’s $40,000 lottery prize winner is the fourth person selected from Prince George’s County. Although the identity and city of Monday’s winner has not been revealed, the past Prince George's County winners are from Upper Marlboro and Clinton.
To incentivize Marylanders to get the COVID-19 vaccination, the Maryland Lottery is awarding one vaccinated person per day a $40,000 prize every day from May 25 through July 3. And on July 4, a final drawing will be held to award one vaccinated person a $400,000 prize.

All Maryland residents age 18 and older who have been vaccinated in Maryland are automatically registered into the lottery promotion. If you would like to get vaccinated, visit Maryland’s GoVax website to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.
“There are still weeks of drawings left–including the big grand prize–so if you haven’t had a chance to get vaccinated yet, now is a great time,” said Gov. Larry Hogan in a Maryland Lottery press release.
