Alsobrooks Teams With Latino Leaders To Answer Vaccine Questions

Some locals are skeptical of the coronavirus vaccine, but County Executive Angela Alsobrooks will team with Latino leaders to ease concerns.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks is reaching out to Latino residents to answer questions and ease concerns about the coronavirus vaccine. She will be joined be these Latino leaders:

  • Joseline Peña-Melnyk: State legislator for District 21
  • Deni Taveras: County Council member for District 2
  • Gustavo Torres: Executive director of the state's Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

"I want to again urge all Prince Georgians to take this life-saving vaccine when you are eligible," Alsobrooks said in a newsletter. "It is in our hands to change the spread of the virus and I encourage all Prince Georgians to be vigilant and use the weapons we know can stop the spread of COVID-19."
