Bowie Farmers Market Reopens; Vendors Sell Craft Products

The Bowie Farmers Market reopened Sunday. The outdoor sale will continue all summer with some safety rules. Here are this year's vendors.

The Bowie Farmers Market reopened last Sunday. The event happens every week through Oct. 31 at Bowie High School. Customers can stop by between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Coronavirus precautions are in place.

BOWIE, MD — The Bowie Farmers Market reopened last week. The sale takes place every Sunday through Oct. 31.

Customers can head to Bowie High School between 8 a.m. and noon. Vendors will set up in the parking lot and sell food and gifts.

Sellers will:

  1. Take preorders during the week (see each vendor’s website or menu for preorder cut off times) and take payments in advance if possible
  2. Wear a mask and gloves at all times and adhere to the 6-foot social distancing rule
  3. Use hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol if soap and water are not available between each order
  4. Use prebagged or prepackaged items in single-use containers to minimize hand contact with produce

The City of Bowie asked shoppers to:

  1. Wear a mask
  2. Maintain 6 feet of social distancing at all times
  3. Use hand sanitizer as necessary
  4. Minimize touching of products prior to purchasing
  5. Follow directional arrows to allow one-way foot traffic
