Bowie Twins Turn 100, Celebrate With Drive-By Parade
Two Bowie twins turned 100 years old. Prince George's County celebrated the sisters with a drive-by parade.

BOWIE, MD — Two Bowie twins, Elaine Foster and Evelyn Lowe, recently turned 100 years old. The community celebrated the sisters with a drive-by parade on Tuesday.
A firetruck, an ambulance and a police cruiser were all on hand. Tiffany Green, chief of the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department, and County Executive Angela Alsobrooks also attended the party.

Residents decorated their cars with signs and drove up to the twins. One poster sent best wishes from a kindergarten class at nearby Pointer Ridge Elementary School.
The group brought gift baskets, flowers and balloons. Each sister also got a gift card to their favorite restaurant: Bob Evans.

This festivity was part of the “100 Events of Summer” from the Prince George's County Office of Community Relations. The office served 50,000 locals with more than 150 family-friendly activities last year.
