Cat With Striking Eyes, Dog That Loves Cuddles Need Loving Homes
Ebony and Charlie Bear are a bit shy. Once they get to know you, they'll be your best friends. Both are up for adoption at the SPCA.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables. Click on their names for more information.
Personality: I’m very shy and may be a bit scared when you first meet me, so I may want to hide in a safe place. It may take a little while until I learn to trust, but once I do, I’m super sweet and love to face bump my human and beg for treats. I love to have my face and chin scratched and would even let you rub my tummy. I’m pretty quiet, but I do like to play with wand toys and fast-moving cat toys. I love to watch the birds and squirrels outside the window and nap in my safe place. I like to climb to the top of a tall cat tree and nap and look out the window.

Favorite Napping Spot: A cubby hole in a cat tree.
How I Came To The SPCA: I was part of a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program and when I was spayed, the veterinarian noticed that I was very sweet and docile, so the PGSPCA brought me into the adoption program so I could find the perfect family to take me home.
Dream Family: My dream home would be a family that will be patient while I learn to trust them and get to know my brand new home. I prefer a quiet home where I can bond with my new family. Currently, I live with my foster mom and her cats. I get along with the other cats, but I’m also OK playing and exploring on my own. If you become my new family, it would be nice if I can stay in a smaller space that is located near my cat guardian’s daily activities and expand from there. I will need some hiding spots to go to while I adjust to and explore my new home.
My name is Charlie Bear and I am a full-on LOVE BUG with my special someone! I am an older gentleman who loves to snuggle and relax with a trusted person. My life was a bit rough previously, so I tend to be very shy and nervous when I meet new people. But if you give me a few
days, I’ll warm up to you and become your very own furry shadow! I am a sweet boy who barks only occasionally and wants nothing more than a quiet, loving home.
After a few days together, I became my foster mom’s shadow and snuggle-bug on the couch. Whether she sits on the floor or the couch, I immediately curl up next to her. When she is working at her desk, I nap on the floor right next to her. When she gets up to walk around, I follow her and keep a close eye on her. We enjoy walks around the backyard to stretch our legs and enjoy the outside smells!
I am more nervous with men than women although I’ll warm up to anyone who’s patient and waits for me to get comfortable. But because I’m shy, it’s best that I’m not around kids since they can be so unpredictable!
I love to sleep and snuggle, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be active sometimes. We go for walks around the neighborhood and I love to smell EVERYTHING! I also enjoy soft squeaky toys (sometimes just to carry around and sometimes to chew on). Recently, I’ve even begun playing
with my foster doggy brother! We chase each other or a soccer ball and we have even started to play-wrestle outside!
In short, I am a shy-but-loving dog looking for a wonderful home with an easy-going owner or two! Can you imagine me as your cuddle-buddy? I sure can!
