Another school year has come to end at Belair Cooperative Nursery School. The non-profit school which is well-known within the community has had one of its most successful years to date! It's been a productive year for BCNS, from outstanding fundraising events to rewarding charity drives. Academically the children have grown leaps and bounds since their first day in September. A Graduation ceremony was held for both Ms. Penny and Ms. LaShoan's four and five year olds, Friday May 28th at Dodd's Hall and there was much to celebrate. Parents, family, friends and teachers gathered to celebrate the milestone that they themselves have been such a big part of. The students are the stars, but the parents and families of the students have play a huge role in the success of the children. They are there in the classroom assisting teachers and students, they attend every field trip, and keep the Co-Op running and thriving on a daily basis. It's what sets Belair Cooperative Nursery School apart from the rest. It's what makes it so special to be a part of.
As the older children take their next big step and enter Kindergarten the children in the 3's class prepare to embark on their last year of preschool. This past year was an eventful one for the children; learning their letters and numbers, making valuable friendships, adapting to a social environment, and taking part in new adventures. They are already looking forward to a new school year. BCNS's enrollment is currently full for the 2018/2019 school year, but there is a waitlist for those who may be interested.
