Dining Out: Bowie Is For Lovers On Valentine's Day

BOWIE, MD -- Valentine's Day is almost upon us. Have you gotten something for your sweetie or made reservations at your local restaurant for a dinner with that special someone? Time's a wasting — Valentine's Day is this Friday.

We asked our Bowie readers to share their favorite romantic restaurants.

On Facebook, Jerry Bowersox said: "Jerry's Seafood (15211 Major Lansdale Blvd., Bowie, MD 20721) has the most delicious Crab Bomb; they even have a Baby Crab Bomb."

But Cindy Freland had a different opinion: "Jerry's has good food and very expensive. The Crab Bomb is $35 by itself. It is a large open area so not very romantic. I would suggest going to Annapolis or Baltimore for a more romantic place."

Meanwhile, Debra Lattimer Pinales lamented the lack of upscale restaurants around Bowie. "People in PG county have money to spend," she said. "Why do we have to leave the county for decent restaurants, shopping, etc. ??? FOOD for thought."

And Peggy Brow suggested staying home with the family.
