Dozens Of Power Outages Reported In Prince George's County
BREAKING: Dozens of Prince George's County residents are without power as a heat advisory is in effect.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Dozens of Prince George's County households and businesses are without power Tuesday as scorching temperatures continue to linger.
According to Pepco's outage map, the outages are mainly around Seat Pleasant and Oxon Hill.
In Alexandria, Va., over 6,000 residents are without power.

The outages occurred as Prince George's County is under a heat advisory from the National Weather Service. High temperatures will be around 97 with a heat index as high as 109, in part due to high humidity.
The heat advisory is in effect from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, for Baltimore City and these counties in central Maryland: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's and St. Mary's. The District of Columbia is also included.

It is the third consecutive day the area is under a heat advisory.
Residents are asked to check on elderly friends, relatives and neighbors who may be isolated, to ensure they are not showing signs of heat-related illnesses.
