How Did Hogan's Update Effect Prince George's County Regulations?
Gov. Larry Hogan tightened his coronavirus regulations Tuesday. Prince George's County has more restrictive rules. Here are the differences.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Gov. Larry Hogan updated Maryland's coronavirus orders Tuesday, adding regulations to slow the spread of the virus. Hogan's restrictions cut capacities across the state, but Prince George's County has slightly different measures.
Jurisdictions are legally allowed to open at their own pace. They may be more restrictive than the state, but they cannot be looser.
Prince George's County has made use of this option. The county remains in Stage 2 of coronavirus recovery, though most of Maryland is in the third and final stage of reopenings.

County Executive Angela Alsobrooks announced new coronavirus rules last week. Her requirements are tighter than Hogan's most recent mandate.
Restaurants and bars must reduce their indoor operating capacities to 25 percent. They may have half-capacity service outside.

Social gatherings also took a hit. Indoor gatherings will be limited to 10 people or one person per 200 square feet of space, whichever is lower. Outdoor gatherings are now capped at 25 visitors or one person per 200 square feet of space, whichever is lower
Masks are now required in all public places. Prince Georgians must wear a face covering anytime they leave their house and are not practicing vigorous exercise, Alsobrooks added.
