Obituary: John Ernest 'Skillet' Ulmschneider, 37, of California, MD

John Ernest "Skillet" Ulmschneider, 37, of California, MD, passed away on April 15, 2016 in Clinton, MD.

Born on February 24, 1979 in Baltimore, he was the son of Cheryl Ulmschneider and the late James Ulmschneider. Skillet was the loving husband of Dawn Ulmschneider and father of daughter Abigail Ulmschneider.

He is survived by his siblings: Joe Ulmschneider (Janet) of Prince Frederick, MD, and Mike (Kim) Ulmschneider of Waldorf, MD.

Skillet graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1997. He moved from Clinton to St. Mary’s County, MD, in 2007. Skillet was a member of the Prince George’s County Fire Department.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM with prayers recited at 7 PM in St. John’s Catholic Church in Hollywood, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 1 PM in St. John’s Catholic Church with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD.

Pallbearers will be the PGFD Honor Guard.
