Majestic Pup Brings Smiles, Excited Youngster Loves Sticks
Rio is a laid back beagle who just wants to chill. Louie is happiest with a big stick in his mouth.

G’day! The name’s Rio and I’m an 8-year-old Beagle looking for my forever family!

If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back pup who is guaranteed to keep a smile on your face, I’m your guy! I am housebroken and do pretty good with the ‘sit’ command, but I am really looking forward to learning even more with you! Especially if there are treats involved (wink).
My perfect home would be one with lots of places to nap, an owner who will play tug-of-war with me and tons of belly rubs. I like meeting my other four-legged canine pals, but I don’t get too excited – I like to play it cool, I’m a very easygoing pup! I’ve been told I have perfect house manners and a lovable nature – I guess you could say I’m a great catch! If you have some extra love, extra cuddles and extra room for me in your heart, submit an application for me today!

I enjoy chasing balls and toys and will bring them back if you throw them, although I might not drop them right away. I love playing tug, too. (I usually win because I’m very strong.) I have a thing about rocks and branches – they just appeal to me and I like to carry them around. I also like to jump and I’m very good at it! Just watch my video!
I love getting attention from my people. I will curl up next to them or on them, if they let me. (I’m not that heavy!) I like being hugged. I’m good at letting my people know when I have to go outside.
I’m working on my outside manners, like walking nicely on leash. There’s just so much interesting stuff out there! I love going for car rides, and sticking my head out the window. I sometimes have a hard time controlling my enthusiasm, so my foster mom is teaching me the Wait command. And I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m a little nervous meeting new people. But after a little while, I’m asking them for pets and belly rubs.
I have a lot of energy, so need a family that will spend time playing with me and helping me be the best dog ever!
