Male Dies After Fort Washington Car Accident: Police

A male died after a Fort Washington car accident, police said. Officers have not yet identified the victim.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD — Police said a male died after a Friday car accident in Fort Washington. Officers are withholding the victim's name until they notify his family.

An incident report noted that the single-vehicle collision happened around 2.45 p.m. Police explained that the driver was heading west on Palmer Road approaching Potomac Heights Drive when he lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons.

The unidentified vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and hit a tree, the write-up continued. Medics took the victim to an unnamed hospital where he died soon after, the press release concluded.
