Man Struck, Killed By Metro Train In PG County: Police
Police believe a person intentionally placed himself in front of a Metro train in Prince George's County Tuesday night.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — A man has died after being struck by a Metro train at the Capitol Heights Metro station on Tuesday night, police say.
Metro Transit Police tweeted that a review of video evidence indicates that the man intentionally placed himself in the path of the train.
WMATA watchdog organization Rail Transit OPS Group identified the train as Large-bound train No. 614, and it struck the person while entering the Capitol Heights station at 10:07 p.m.

As a result of the incident, WMATA single-tracked Large trains until closing, and Capitol Heights was closed briefly during the investigation.
