BOWIE, MD — A Maryland singer continued her hot streak on NBC's "The Voice." Bowie woman Tamara Jade advanced to the top nine of the singing competition on Tuesday night, but it was closer than her previous matchups.

In the first three stages, the judges picked who would advance. Coaches showered Jade in praise each time.

From the fourth round on, fans get to decide. Judges can then save one person from elimination.

Jade sang "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley during Monday night's round of 17. She then waited for viewers to cast their ballots overnight.

Voters chose John Holiday, one of Jade's teammates, to advance. Their joint coach, R&B singer John Legend, saved Jade during the Tuesday night results show, however.

Moments before Legend saved the 30-year-old Marylander, she said her journey has taught her self-appreciation. Jade added that her triumphs and failures continue to shape her.

"I am enough," Jade said. "Every bit of who I am is enough."

Jade's run will continue for at least one more week. She will take the stage again on Monday night.

The singer first caught attention during her audition, which aired on Oct. 19. That performance drew interest from all four judges. The video of her tryout has amassed more than 1.7 million views on YouTube.

The winner of "The Voice" will take home $100,000 and earn a recording contract with Universal Music Group.

"The Voice" airs on NBC each Monday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is also available on Hulu.

Jade's performance is viewable below.
