OXON HILL, MD — National Harbor has a slate of Father's Day activities for DMV residents. The mixed-use development suggested taking dad out for a meal and a boat ride. Brunch is available at these restaurants:

Bond45 (149 Waterfront Street) will be open for lunch and dinner.

Boating in DC recently introduced water bikes to National Harbor. These vehicles look like bicycles on a raft. Riders pedal like a bike and explore the harbor. Kayaks, paddleboards, swan pedal boats and dragon pedal boats are also up for rent.

Customers with a boating license can also borrow a watercraft through the Freedom Boat Club. Additionally, Maryland Yacht Charters brought another vessel onto its National Harbor fleet. This company rents boats with a captain for two to four hours. Float Boat 360 similarly has cruises for up to six people. Locals can bring their food and drinks on any of these trips.

National Harbor also added two-person CraigCats last year through Monumental Boat Tours. These boats on skis include a two-hour tour to Mount Vernon that passes Jones Point Lighthouse, Fort Washington and more.

Anybody who wants to stay on shore can rent a bicycle through Capital Bikeshare. A National Harbor trail winds along the waterfront and into Washington, D.C. and Virginia.

“With so many dining, entertainment and boating options, National Harbor is the perfect location to spend the day,” stated Jackie Saunders, AVP of marketing at National Harbor.
