PG County Man Threatened Local Church: State's Attorney
A man reportedly is accused of threatening "mass violence" against a Prince George's County church.
UPPER MARLBORO, MD — A grand jury has indicted a man accused of threatening mass violence against an Upper Marlboro church, Prince George's County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy announced in a statement.
The grand jury indicted 20-year-old Brandon Robinson, who was arrested Aug. 6 on the grounds of the church -- which was not identified -- after "having made threats of violence against the church and its members," the statement reads.
"We take all threats of mass violence very seriously," Braveboy said in the statement. "Too many lives have been lost because of incidents of mass violence across the country. So, in Prince George’s County we will not ignore situations that can turn violent."
