Prince George's Community College Given White House Award

President Charlene Dukes spoke at the White House about the nation's community colleges.

Prince George’s Community College is the only college in Maryland to be selected as a White House Champion of Change, according to a statement issued by the Largo college.

The college and President Charlene M. Dukes are being recognized by the White House for improving completion rates among disadvantaged students. Fifteen colleges around the country were recognized.

Dukes was invited to the White House last week to participate in a roundtable discussion on the positive impact of community colleges.
