Rocky

Not sure if you want to adopt an active puppy or an adorable teddy bear? I’m the perfect hybrid of the two! I can go for long walks by day and curl up by your side at night. My favorite things include trying to chase squirrels and birds, chewing on bones and sticks, gazing at you with my expressive eyes, and eating cheese-flavored treats.

I dislocated my hip when I was younger and when the PGSPCA got me out of the shelter they helped fix it. I’m well on the mend and with every walk I get a little stronger. I’ll need your help slowly increasing my activity and range of motion to continue on my road to recovery. I’m looking forward to running and play fetch again soon!

I’m still a baby and need some training, but I’m a fast learner. I’m fully house trained and know basic commands like sit, down, stay and come. I’m good on a leash, especially if you have treats to distract me from squirrels. I have puppy energy and may need your help redirecting play bites to my toys and helping me calm down when I get too excited. But what I want more than anything is a playmate to take the other end of my tug toys and give me tummy rubs. I can be wary of strangers, but patience is often rewarded by a happy tail wag and a life-long friend.

My last owners didn’t have time for me but I’m hoping my forever family will!

The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted.
