PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD -- If you reside in east central Prince George's County, you should take cover from now until 4 p.m., authorities say.

The National Weather Service reports that a severe thunderstorm was located over Millersville at 3:14 p.m. Thursday and was moving south at 30 miles per hour.

The storm packs 60 mile per hour wind gusts and quarter size hail.

"Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall," the announcement states. "This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles."
