Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For 2 MD Counties
BREAKING: A storm with 60 mph winds has been reported.

Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning Saturday afternoon. A storm packing 60 mph winds prompted the alert.
The severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 4:15 p.m.
Officials advise people in the warned areas to go inside to the lowest floor.

Radar showed a storm with 60 mph wind gusts and hail the size of quarters near Bowie before 3:45 p.m.that was moving south at 15 mph, officials said.
During the severe thunderstorm warning period, people should go inside to stay safe from wind and lightning. Do not drive underneath wooded areas until the threat has passed, as trees and branches may fall. Roads may become blocked by downed trees, and localized power outages are possible, according to the warning.

These areas may be impacted, according to the warning: Bowie, Clinton, Forestville, Largo, Upper Marlboro, Fedex Field, Andrews Air Force Base, Landover, Camp Springs, Kettering, Walker
Mill, Mitchellville, Rosaryville, Lake Arbor, Marlton, Woodmore, Lanham-Seabrook, Greater Landover, Glenn Dale and Glenarden.
