'Stranger Things' Star Joins Bowie Baysox: Report
A member of the Stranger Things cast reportedly will throw out the first pitch at a Bowie Baysox game this weekend.

BOWIE, MD -- With Season 3 of the Netflix hit show "Stranger Things" set to premier on July 4, the cast is hard at work promoting the show -- and one of them will be here in Bowie to join the Baysox as part of the promotion.
Actress Cara Buono, who plays Karen Wheeler -- Mike Wheeler's mother -- on the show, will throw out the first pitch at Prince George's Stadium as the Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder at 6:35 p.m., according to a WTOP interview with the actress.
She said she was "really excited" to come to the area and there's an opportunity to meet and greet beforehand.

The Bowie Baysox say they will have a "Stranger Things themed Fireworks spectacular" after the game, according to their website.
Fans can also purchase VIP tickets to meet with Buono in a suite, as well as an autographed photo of her.

Buono has also appeared on The Sopranos, Mad Men, and Third Watch. She received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2011 for her appearance as Dr. Faye Miller in the fourth season of Mad Men.
