Despite More Snow than Expected, Hingham Avoids Worst of the Storm
The storm wasn't the one inch predicted on Thursday, but the worse didn't come to Hingham.
HINGHAM, MA - It may not have been the storm-like conditions that hit Washington D.C. and New York City, but Hingham received more snow than originally expected.
As late as Thursday, the National Weather Service said that the area would only see about an inch of snow, but estimates increased through Friday and Saturday, with some projections pushing nine inches.
The snow was expected to taper off around midnight, before stopping between 3 and 4 a.m. according to the NWS. Several towns in Plymouth County will likely see 8-12 inches of snow.
