Draft Master Plan Available For Review In Town Of Hingham

The Draft Master Plan is available on the Master Plan Committee’s webpage. The draft Master Plan will be presented to the Planning Board at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021.

The Master Plan Committee established by the 2019 Town Meeting has completed its work and delivered a draft Master Plan to the Hingham Planning Board. This Plan is a product over well over a dozen public committee meetings that represented collectively hundreds of hours of committee members’ efforts. The preparation also benefited from the extensive work and expertise of the Barrett Planning consultant team. The Committee’s work was based on perhaps the most robust community visioning effort over several months in 2019-2020, and that public input guided the Committee’s discussions and deliberations throughout the Plan. The Committee welcomes the opportunity to share this 10-15 year aspirational vision for our town. The Plan will be presented to the Planning Board on Monday, March 8th at 7:00 pm, which will be followed by Board and community questions and input at future Master Plan hearings before being formally approved by the Planning Board. If the public has questions of comments prior to or outside of these hearings, they may be submitted through the Master Plan Committee’s Online Comment Form.
