Fire Destroys Home In Hingham
Hingham Firefighters responded to the Main Street blaze at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
HINGHAM, MA—The Hingham Fire Department is investigating a fire that destroyed a home in Hingham on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to reports of a Main Street fire around 1 p.m., according to the fire department. They found that the home was already engulfed in flames and completely destroyed.
"Crews arrived on scene at 12:54 and unfortunately the house was already fully involved at that point and spread very quickly inside the building," Hingham Fire Chief Steve Murphy told reporters.

"It's hard no matter what time of year is is, definitely worse around the holidays," said Murphy.
Despite the intensity of the blaze, fire officials said no one was injured and the family was being assisted by other residents.

"The only good thing we can report is that no one was injured or anything else and everyone made it successfully out of the building," said Murphy.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hingham Fire Department.
