Row & Ride™ will have a pre-opening debut at lululemon in the Derby Street Shoppes this weekend.

Hingham residents will get the chance to see what the first indoor rowing and cycling studio in New England is all about.

CBS Boston weekend morning news anchor Kerry Connolly is spreading her passion for fitness by opening the rowing and cycling studio Row & Ride™.

Bikes will be set up outside of lululemon in Derby Street Shoppes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Connolly and certified instructors will preview rowing and riding techniques.

Row & Ride™ provides a full body, low-impact workout that burns up to 800 calories a session. Clients can row, bike or combine the two for a custom workout. People of any age and fitness level are able to participate and enjoy this style of exercise, Connolly said.

“I have young children and know how busy folks can be,” she said. “Having fun while exercising helped me to stay on track with a regular workout.”

Row & Ride™ officially opens on Columbus Day in Hanover, 200 Webster St., between Boston Interiors and Charles David Salon.

The studio is offering unlimited free classes from Monday, Oct. 13 to Sunday, Oct. 19. Sign up for the classes on the Row & Ride™ website.

The studio aims to get people fit through “entertainment exercise,” which gives people an “incredible workout while actually having fun,” Connolly said.

The stadium-style seating allows participants a better view of the instructor. Foreign landscapes are projected into the studio by an 8 by 10 foot screen, Connolly said.

“You leave there feeling happy and energized,” she said.
