Flash Flood Warning, Watch Issued for Hingham

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 5:45 p.m. and a flash flood watch until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service is predicting up to two inches of rain in less than an hour Tuesday evening, which could cause flash flooding particularly in urban areas and locations with poor drainage.

The NWS has issued a Flash Flood Warning for several portions of Massachusetts, including Hingham, until 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. Moreover, a Flash Flood Watch has been issued until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. The NWS recommends monitoring later forecasts and to be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
