Girl Injured Cliff Jumping At Rocky Neck In Hingham

The Hingham Firefighters Local 2398 said a girl was injured jumping into the water at World's End.

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham firefighters are warning young residents about the dangers of rock jumping after a girl was injured jumping to the water off Rocky Neck on Monday.

The Firefighters Local 2398 said about 5 p.m. Monday afternoon they received calls about a girl who was hurt in the water near World's End. The girl was rescued from the water and brought into a boat to treat her injuries. She was then taken to Steamboat Wharf Marina in Hull for further treatment.

"Members from Local 2398 would like to take this opportunity to remind residents that rock jumping is extremely dangerous and can result in serious injuries requiring technical types of rescue," Local 2398 posted. "Please practice safety on and around the water."
