Heavy Rain in Milford's Forecast for Thursday, Friday

Get those umbrellas ready! After three days of record-breaking heat, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.

Heavy rain will the main threat of these storms, according to the National Weather Service. Both showers and storms are expected to be slow moving.

Rain is expected to move into Milford Thursday afternoon and continue throughout most of the day on Friday before clearing out Friday night.

Here’s a look at the forecast from the National Weather Service:

• Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Thursday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
• Friday: Showers likely, mainly before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 73. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
• Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
