Hingham 4th Of July Parade, More: 2019 Guide

HINGHAM, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Hingham so you can start planning now.

The fireworks for this year have been postponed to 2020, but there's still plenty to enjoy for celebrations. Here's what's in store this July 4th for festivities in Hingham:

July 4th Festivities

What: 60th Annual Hingham Road Race

Where: Hingham Middle School

When: 7 a.m., July 4

On the morning of Independence Day, the early risers will run in the 59th annual Hingham Road Race at Hingham Middle School. Race day registration starts at 5:30 a.m. with a race time of 7 a.m. The 4.47-mile course goes down Main Street and ends under a giant American flag.

What: Fourth of July Parade

Where: Parade starts at Hingham High School

When: 10 a.m., July 4

The parade, with the theme, "Celebrate Hingham's Natural Beauty," begins at 10 a.m. The parade route starts near Hingham High School at the intersection of Pleasant and Middle streets and heads north across Route 228 before joining Main Street in Hingham Center and going towards Hingham Square. The parade will turn right on North Street and finish at Station Street.
