Hingham Ballet Students to Perform in The Nutcracker
A mix of professional dancers and local ballet students will perform in South Shore Ballet Theatre's The Nutcracker in December.

Local ballet students are set to perform in South Shore Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker along with professional dancers next month.
More than 75 dancers will perform in The Nutcracker, including 10 Hingham dancers: Caroline Kelleher, Allison Walter, Teresa Burns, Amory Ling, Catherine Delorie, Robin Penza, Sarah Burke, Lila Jacobs, Katie Sweeney and Richie Summers.
The holiday-classic performance will feature dances from the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Drosselmeyer and dancing peppermints, chocolates and marzipan.

South Shore Ballet Theatre’s 2014 Nutcracker production will hold two performances each day on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14. Shows will be held at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Derby Academy, 56 Burditt Ave.
Tickets are $18 for reserved seating and $20 at the door. Tickets sales began on Saturday, Nov. 15. Buy them here.

The Nutcracker, set to Tchaikovsky’s score, tells the story of a girl named Clara who becomes involved in a battle with a mouse king and is then taken to the magical Land of the Sweets.
