Hingham Cinemas Set To Reopen 5 Months After Coronavirus Closures
The Hingham Shipyard Cinemas open Friday, with the historic Loring Hall Cinemas set to reopen on Aug. 28.
HINGHAM, MA — Hingham residents are be able to go back to the movies in town for the first time in five months.
Patriot Cinemas, which operates the Hingham Shipyard Cinema and the historic Loring Hall Cinemas, opened the Shipyard location on Friday, with the Loring Hall location set to reopen Aug. 28.
Patriot Cinemas said that safety measures include limiting theaters to 25 patrons per showing in the Hingham locations — the Portland, Maine Nickelodeon location will have a 50-person limit.

Face coverings will be required at all times for staff in all locations with masks required for patrons and staff at all times in the Hingham locations. Step 1 of phase 3 of the state's reopening does not allow for food or drink anyone in the building, with Maine requiring masks for all times except at your seat while eating or drinking.
Markers have been placed on the lobby floor to indicate spacing for social distancing, which should be maintained in restrooms, the lobby and the auditoriums.

Patriot Cinemas said auditoriums and bathrooms will be disinfected regularly with an electric sprayer. Sanitizer will be available for patrons in the lobby.
