Hingham Gas Station Burglars Cut Through Roof: Police
Police said thieves cut phone lines and cut two holes in the roof of the BP gas station on Whiting Street early Saturday morning.

HINGHAM, MA —Thieves sliced through the roof and cut the phone lines to disable the alarm system of the BP gas station on Whiting Street overnight Saturday morning in a burglary attempt.
Hingham police said workers arrived at the station about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and found two holes in the ceiling and the phone lines not working.
The manager said the suspects climbed into the office, rummaged through the business and stole a small amount of money.

Police said the break-in was estimated to have taken place between 11 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. at the gas station located at the intersection of Routes 53 and 228.
