On March 15, 2021 Lt. Ryan O'Shea was promoted to Deputy Police Chief in a limited ceremony. Chief David Jones welcomed a small group of family & fellow Officers to the swearing in. Deputy Chief O'Shea was sworn in outside Hingham Town Hall by Town Clerk Eileen McCracken.

After taking his Oath of Office, his new badge was pinned on by his wife, Scituate Police Department Lt. Amanda O'Shea. Deputy Chief O'Shea thanked his family, members of the department & Town Officials for their support. The Board of Selectmen, Town Administrator and Assistant Town Administrator were among those who attended the ceremony. 

He becomes just our 5th Deputy Chief. We congratulate Deputy Chief O'Shea on his well deserved promotion.
