The funds raised from the sale of pink patches were donated to the Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers.

HINGHAM, MA — The Hingham Police Department has donated $1,000 to the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston through the sale of Pink Patch Project patches.

The department is one of over 500 public safety agencies nationwide that partners with the Pink Patch Project, a collaborative cancer awareness fundraiser. This was the Hingham Police Department's second year participating in the project.

All the profits from the sale of pink patches go towards cancer treatment, research, and education with the goal of increasing education surrounding detection and prevention and raising money for further cancer research and treatment for those who have been diagnosed.
