Hingham Police Holding Cradles To Crayons Collection Drive

Hingham police are holding a collection drive for Cradles to Crayons this month and a Cupcakes & Coffee With A Cop event on Thursday.

HINGHAM, MA —Hingham police are reaching out in the community this month with a collection drive to benefit Cradles to Crayons in the Boston area and a Cupcakes & Coffee With A Cop event to get to know residents of all ages in town on Thursday. Both events are being held at the Hingham Community Center.

The collection drive is running from Dec. 6 through Dec. 20 where Hingham Police and the Hingham Community Center are collections essentials for young children. Among the items needed most are: Pajamas for youth sizes 0 trough 20 and adult small and medium; hats, gloves and socks; hygiene supplies (soap, wipes, shampoo, body wash); books for both babies and toddlers as well as older children up to age 12.

Collection boxes can be found in the lobby of the Hingham Community Center.

Hingham police are also hosting the Cupcakes & Coffee With A Cop event Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Hingham Community Center. There will be coffee, Sadie Mae's Cupcakes and a chance to have conversations with Hingham police officers.
