HINGHAM, MA — The Hingham Police Department is selling special edition autism patches starting April 1 to support Autism Awareness Month, said the department in a Twitter post Thursday.

All proceeds from the patches will be donated directly to South Shore SNAP, a non-profit that provides athletic and recreational activities for children with special needs, and the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc., an organization founded to help individuals and families who are affected by autism.

The Hingham police autism patches are $10 each and can be purchased at the Hingham Police Department front desk, located at 213 S Main Street, or by emailing Officer Daniel Murphy at murphyd@hpd.org.
